The woman with the title of the most productive surrogate mother of Britain was forced to retire after doctors banned her to have another child. She had given birth to 15 children in 20 years.

The 49-year-old Carole Horlock from Essex has already had two children of her own and having children had become an addiction for her.

Indeed, according to Carole, while her partner and her daughters were happy with her decision, for her it was difficult to accept the fact that she will not have another baby. However, she was happy with the fact that, at least now she will have a ... normal sex life after so much time that she didn’ t have that choice due to pregnancies.

Carole was first surrogate in 1995 and by 2000 she had already given birth to five children.

In 2000 she had her sixth child, the seventh in 2002, the eighth in 2003 and then in 2004 and 2013. In 2008 she had triplets and twins in 2007.

She took the decision to stop pregnancies after she had a miscarriage of the 16th child and she realized that her body could not bear anymore.

Carole began her career as a surrogate mother after an ad that she read, and for each child who gave birth to she received a fee of 9000 to 20,000 euros. But she says it was not for profit but to help childless couples.

For the first nine children her own eggs were used while for the rest of the pregnancies eggs from other women were used.

As she stated, with some of the parents of children that she gave birth to has become friends, while others choose not to have any relationship with her.
